M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamps
Compact Tool Steel Gripper Clamps for OP1 CNC Workholding
The Firmworx M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamp is a compact, low-profile CNC workholding clamp designed to securely hold two components from one central screw.
Using a wedge-style expanding action, the clamp applies force outwards to both sides at the same time, making it ideal for OP1 machining, raw billet clamping, saw-cut blanks, fixture plates, pallet systems, tombstones, and production setups where strong grip and compact workholding are essential.
The gripper version is manufactured from tool steel and features gripping clamp faces designed to bite into the material. This gives improved holding power during roughing, facing, profiling, drilling, and high-force milling operations.
Each clamp measures 20mm wide x 36mm long, fits into a 30mm wide mounting pocket, and uses standard M6 x 20mm cap head hardware.
One Screw. Two Parts. More Fixture Space.
The M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamp allows two components to be clamped at the same time from one central screw.
The central screw drives the internal wedge action, pushing both clamp faces outward simultaneously. This reduces the amount of hardware needed across the fixture and helps increase the number of parts that can be loaded in one cycle.
Because the clamp body is only 20mm wide x 36mm long, it can be used in tight layouts where larger clamps, vices, or strap clamps would take up too much space.
This helps you:
Increase part density on fixture plates
Reduce setup time
Keep the top of the part clear for machining
Improve access for cutters and probes
Build cleaner, more efficient production fixtures
Built for OP1 Machining
The M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamp is designed primarily for first-operation workholding.
When machining raw material, the first operation is often the most demanding. The material may be saw-cut, uneven, unmachined, or slightly inconsistent. The gripper faces bite into the workpiece, helping prevent movement during cutting and giving the operator more confidence when machining raw blanks.
They are especially suited to:
OP1 raw billet clamping
Saw-cut blanks
Heavy roughing
Multi-part production fixtures
Compact CNC milling setups
Palletised machining
Tombstone workholding
Aluminium, steel, stainless, and engineering plastic components
Production machining where part marking is acceptable

Compact Mounting Design
The clamp is designed to sit inside a 30mm wide mounting pocket, allowing it to be integrated cleanly into fixture plates, pallet systems, tombstones, modular workholding blocks, and dedicated customer fixtures.
The mounting pocket supports the clamp body and keeps the layout compact and controlled.
With a clamping depth from 7mm down to 3mm, the clamp is well suited to low-profile setups where tool access and component clearance are important.
Key Benefits
Strong OP1 Holding Power
The gripper faces bite into raw material, helping prevent part movement during heavier cutting.
Holds Two Parts from One Screw
Each clamp can hold two components at once using a single central M6 screw, helping reduce fixture hardware and increase parts per cycle.
Compact 20mm x 36mm Footprint
The small body size makes the clamp ideal for dense fixture layouts and compact machine setups.
Uses Standard M6 x 20mm Hardware
The clamp uses standard M6 x 20mm cap head hardware, making it simple to maintain and easy to replace in a normal workshop environment.
Improved Access for Machining
Because the clamp works from the side, the top face of the component remains accessible for facing, drilling, profiling, chamfering, engraving, probing, and general CNC milling.
Typical Applications
The M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamp is suitable for:
OP1 CNC milling
Raw billet holding
Saw-cut blank clamping
Multi-part fixture plates
High-density workholding layouts
Tombstone machining
Palletised machining
Aluminium production parts
Steel and stainless components
Engineering plastic components
Heavy roughing operations
Repeat batch machining
Custom fixture systems
Recommended Use
The M6 DualFlex Gripper Clamp is best used for OP1 clamping where raw material needs to be held securely.
Use the gripper clamp to hold raw stock during first-operation machining. The gripping faces help resist movement while the component is being faced, profiled, drilled, pocketed, or roughed.
For second-operation work, use a machinable DualFlex Soft Jaw Clamp. The soft jaw version can be machined to match the finished profile, helping improve repeatability and reduce marking.
