The Firmworx M6 DualFlex Dovetail Gripper Clamp is a compact CNC workholding clamp designed for OP1 machining, raw stock holding, saw-cut blanks, and first-operation production fixtures.

This version features a 3mm dovetail / undercut gripping profile, designed to work with the matching FirmWall Dovetail Gripper Rail. Together, they create a secure mechanical gripping system for holding raw material firmly during machining.

Machined in-house by Firmworx in England, the clamp is manufactured from tool steel for durability, wear resistance, and reliable use in production workholding setups.

Each clamp measures 20mm wide x 36mm long, fits into a 30mm wide mounting pocket, and uses standard M6 x 20mm cap head hardware.

The M6 DualFlex Dovetail Gripper Clamp is designed specifically for first-operation CNC workholding.

OP1 workholding is often the most demanding stage of machining. Raw material may be saw-cut, uneven, inconsistent, or have no finished features to locate from.

The DualFlex Dovetail Gripper Clamp is designed to be used with the matching FirmWall Dovetail Gripper Rail.

The FirmWall rail provides the fixed dovetail gripping side, while the DualFlex clamp provides the opposing moving clamping force.

Together, they create a compact OP1 workholding system that grips the material from both sides while keeping the top face of the component clear for machining.

This setup is ideal for machining the first side of a component before transferring it into an OP2 fixture, soft-jaw setup, or finished-part holding system.

One Screw. Two Parts. Positive Grip.

The DualFlex design allows two components to be clamped from one central screw.

The central M6 screw drives the internal wedge action, pushing both clamp faces outwards at the same time. This allows one clamp to secure two parts, helping increase fixture density and reduce the amount of hardware required across the fixture plate.

When combined with the 3mm dovetail gripper profile, the clamp provides a more positive OP1 hold than a flat or smooth contact face.

3mm Dovetail / Undercut Grip

The clamp features a 3mm dovetail / undercut gripping profile designed to help retain raw stock during cutting.

This mechanical grip is especially useful when the material may be subject to lifting forces during roughing, ramping, pocketing, drilling, or profiling.

The dovetail grip is intended for OP1 work where marking is acceptable or where the gripped material will be removed in a later operation.
